One-click install from the Shopify App Store. OAuth connects PackProof to your store. Your admin account is created automatically.

Step 2

Record packing

Open an unfulfilled order. PackProof shows the pack list with images and SKUs. Start the recording, pack the order, hit stop.

File downloads, log stored

The watermarked, metadata-stamped MP4 saves to your machine. A log entry is stored in PackProof so the whole team has a searchable audit trail.

FAQ

Questions, answered.

Do I need to install anything on my PC? +
No. PackProof runs in any modern browser (Chrome, Edge, Safari). The packing station just needs a webcam and microphone.
Where are the recordings stored? +
On the packer's computer. The video file downloads directly to their disk when they stop recording. PackProof only stores a log entry (order, duration, who recorded, when). You own every byte of video.
What if a customer disputes a charge? +
Search the log by order number, find the recording filename, attach the MP4 to your response. The embedded metadata proves when the video was taken and which PackProof log it came from.
Does it work on mobile? +
The recording flow is optimized for desktop (bigger preview, better ergonomics at a packing station). Mobile works for viewing orders and the recording log, but we recommend a laptop or desktop for packing.
What happens when I uninstall? +
PackProof automatically disconnects. Your stored log entries stay accessible for 30 days so you can export them, then they're deleted. Your local video files are unaffected.
Is PackProof reading my customer data? +
No. PackProof only queries unfulfilled orders (order number, line items, SKUs, product images). We explicitly don't request Protected Customer Data — no names, no emails, no addresses.
